This site is intended to be a resource for people who enjoy cooking or at the very least, reading about food. I have no professional background as a chef, but I plan on critiquing every recipe I try (we’ll see if this actually happens) as someone who likes food and cooking but also cares about my time and how much of it I devote to food. This is admittedly more than most people, but I’m also fond of easy, delicious recipes (who isn’t?), and in general, my goal is to hunt these down and share them. I’ll be sure to let you know about any time-saving techniques to make more complicated recipes reasonable and keep you abreast on my recent pastime–entering food competitions.

I have posted recipes from copyrighted books and have no desire to take credit for them. This is permitted under Fair Use copyright laws as long as I don’t post such a ridiculous amount of recipes from a single book that a person hardly needs to buy it if it interests them. I plan on keeping the amount of copyrighted material presented from exceeding ten percent of a book and to link to official websites that post these recipes whenever possible. Really, I hope to encourage the purchase of cookbooks (and magazines) that I feel are worthwhile. This will be done through my ongoing critique of the outrageous number of cookbooks I have in my possession, and people can read my comments on the recipes and decide for themselves if the book suits them. I don’t really have an agenda as far as which book to use when. I gravitate toward certain cookbooks, and that in itself is pretty telling.
